Megan, I read what you guys say even if I do not respond. In the immortal words of my mother who just took up smoking at the age of 63: "inhale, it's wonderful."
My wife smoked like 22 years and quit at the age of 38. She quit for 5 years and started again. I was the non-smoking older college boy who appeared to love her despite her smoking habit.
I was such a nice guy, I never asked her to give up cigarettes. When my mother got on her about smoking, I took up for her.
Then, she quit smoking saying our oldest was just about to hit her teens and should not be shown such a bad example. I acted like that was fine. I was so tempted to beg her to smoke but never did.
Finally, she started back about a year and a half ago. It didn't help that our 14-year-old twin girls were smoking. I was so happy. Sound familiar. If you do go back, don't feel bad, your husband will most likely be happy. When Wilma goes back, Ted will be happy, too.
