Subject: a modern fairytale

For centuries fairies have walked amongst us, and we have remained oblivious to them. There are a few with the Sight who can see, but perhaps they are the unlucky few--for they are most often the ones targeted by the Free Fae and the Exiles. Besides those few, however, belief in the Fae has begun to dwindle. A log in a crib or an inexplicably strange child are no longer the marks of a Changeling, but rather of a sick child thief or a prodigy of a young boy or girl. Still--humanity moves on, hopelessly ignorant to the comings and goings of the world around them.
