Ash followed the wolves into the cavren without a word. He kept a steady pace. Firey Ash had never met Kumo personally but he had heard of her. Thank you for all of your kindness, Amelie. I speak for Firenze as well. Then he saw her sprint up the vertical tunnel. To him her sprint seemed slow. As if time itself was unraveling. Amelie...wait! he tried to yell. But his jaws seemed closed and his mind and his muscles. Suddenly Ash collapsed on the floor and made no sound.
