My betta fish is not blowing bubbles as it did when I first purchased him. It's about three weeks now that he is not blowing bubbles. He was ill a few weeks ago -- wouldn't eat and wouldn't respond to my voice. He has recovered and he does seem normal and responsive. Is it bad if he does not blow bubbles? I know the bubbles mean he is forming a nest for the female's eggs which naturally will never happen(and I told him that). He is an awfully cute betta (a.k.a. Fishie, Fishie) and responds when I speak to him. I've had him almost five months.
