I had this same problem. I bought two mollies and one of them died within the first few days. I kept the other in a tanks with guppies, frogs and plecos. Well over the next month or so as she grew I noticed she getting agressive with the other fish and she even killed two of my guppies. After she killed the first male I put her in a 5 gal. by herself and she swam like she was crazy. The guppies were having babies again so I put the remaining male with her and she killed him too. Finally some one told me that mollies are school fish (the pet store told me not to have more than 2 together) and to have at least 6. I went out that day and bought 5 more black mollies, I was worried because she's large and the others were still babies. But as soon as I put the others in there she became a different fish. She herded them all together and watched out for them. They are all grown now, and none have displayed any agression.
