Subject: Need Red Oranda HELP!

I currently have 2 Red Orandas-one is new, replacing one who died about a month ago. I have asked my local pet store to no avail & have been searching the web for hours for help with my problem.
Does anyone know how to determine the sex of the Oranda?
Does anyone know how to determine if the Oranda is pregnant?
I know they are eggbearers, which I have no experience with. I know livebearers, thanks to my platy.
I believe one of my orandas may be pregnant, but I have no idea how to help the babies survive, should that be the case. My Oranda is too big to fit in my nursery for the platy.
One of the Orandas chases the other around & around-I wonder if this is a mating thing.
