Subject: Desperate for Betta Advice

Thank you for taking the time to read my Betta question.
I was looking for info and found your fish messageboard
on the internet, and you seem to know a lot about the
topic. I was wondering if you may give me some advice.

My name is Guy, and I'm a 25 year old guy from Canada.
My partner has had a Betta fish for seven months or
so, and he always kept her in a 2 gallon vase.
We wanted to give her a larger home to swim in, so I
bought a 10 gallon tank, and some gravel. We moved her
yesterday, but she seems totally shocked and she
doesn't swim around like she normally does. She moves
a little every once in a while, but normally she
recovers very quickly after transfers or water changes.
Can the change to a larger space be unhealthy for her?
(maybe the water pressure or something?).

What should I do? My heart would break if she dies.
If you can advise me on this I will be eternally
grateful.

Sincerely,
Guy K.
