Subject: Breeding Black Mollies

Hi,
I just got a pair of black mollies and have a couple of questions. The woman at the pet store where I got them tried to get me a male and a female so they would breed. I hace only had them 3 days, but my first question is How do you tell the male from the female, the only difference i noticed between the 2 is their tails and the fins beneath their belly.
My second question is how long does it take for them to begin trying to breed and how do you tell if they are going to have babies? I have the live bearer trap but am unsure when to put them in.
thanks
