I just bought two elephant nose this past weekend. It was stupid at the time b/c I purchased them when I was visiting a friend out of town, therefore risking the drive home. Anyway, they survived the trip and are doing very well, but the one picks on the other. I think it is weak, and I don't know if it is eating. Actually, I haven't seen either of them eat. . . is this normal??? I really care about them; they are adorable and I want to give them the best care possible. The tank is 20 gallons (yes, I wish it were larger), 7.0 ph, 78 degrees, 0 nitrite, has two caves, lots of live plants, 3 tetras and a few small guppies (another story). However, I am not clear on how much to feed and I am afraid one or both might starve, yet I am afraid of overfeeding. To add to my problem, the tetras are eating the blood worms, too, leaving less for the elephantnose. I am feeding the frozed blood worms after I turn off the tank at night. From what I have read above, they should also be eating the plants, right?? Please advise!!! What is the quantity of worms to add?!?!?!
