(He spread his fingers as she laid her hand over his, so that her smaller fingers slipped in between his, and then he captured them so that their hands were lightly fisted together against her stomach. He had missed this, hadn't realized just how much he had needed to be able to simply hold her and to rest beside her. He had only been able to sleep when he had exhausted himself so fully that he couldn't keep his eyes open anymore. He thought about Shay's scheme as he held her, wondering what it would be like to go through pregnancy with her.. coddling her and pampering her because he just knew that she would be the most beautiful woman in the world, swollen with his child. His brow furrowed a little as he thought about that more.. his child.. When had he suddenly gone from unsure about kids to definitely wanting them and in fact planning them? Because of his thoughts, he was too distracted to answer her and the silence dragged out, though his hand had moved against her stomach to show that he was still alert.. just not focused on what she had asked him.) (He smirked at her words, knowing that he would spoil her rotten given half the chance to do so. He loved nothing more than to be able to spend the day with his wife, to ditch work and pamper her.. his time off had shown him just how fun and rewarding that could be. Chase was such a wonderful baby that finding a babysitter would be simple and they wouldn't have to worry about him, he was such a smart child since he took after his father and had that sort of knowing expression that said he was reading a lot more from a person than they realized. He worried about that in Chase, worried that perhaps he had latent inhabition as well, although he had a feeling that since he would be able to be there for the child and show him how to handle the disorder it wouldn't be a hinderance to him as it had been for his father.) Very soon. (He added, a bit of a hitch in his step as he walked with her, his jeans were suddenly entirely too tight and pretty uncomfortable... damn his hormones.)
