(Anyone passing by might have mistaken him for the owner of the hotel by the arrogant way he was lounging beside her, a self-satisfied smirk on his face as she closed the conversation with the senator. Even though she had flashed him a 'shut up' expression, he had only acknowledge receipt of said warning with a slight arch of his brow and a little bit more cheeky touch to his smile. He was completely amused by his own behavior and not a bit worried about the Senator's pride or opinions. He couldn't believe the man had walked up to a military woman and commented on her 'delicate' nature and the fact that they had sent her out there to get shot. Once they were alone, he kept the smile on his face but snorted a little at her words.) He acts like the military takes women in just to humor them. I cannot believe the gall of some people, smiling at you while he insults your abilities.. like we sent you out there to get shot. (He shook his head, still trailing his fingers over her shoulder, so obviously offended by the man's words on her behalf but doing a pretty damn good job of not showing it to anyone but her.) Any man doing that mission would have gotten shot in the same manner.
