(What Haylie often forgot about Kyrian Sutherland, was that his emotions were very much caught in a child-like state of mind, and the fact that he was showing his annoyance and frustration didn't mean that they were directed at her. In fact, it was much the opposite. If he were made at her he would have hidden it very carefully and bided his time until it was the worst possible time to bring it up - because he was petty like that. But in this case, he was so very angry with life in general that he was more than happy to publicly brood about it. Everytime someting came along that made him sublimely happy, it was tied to a brick that was already tossed over the bridge ready to suck the life and happiness right out of the moment. He looked up as she headed into the bathroom, then moved to get her other bag, digging out the fingerprint kit and setting it on the table. Quietly, he returned to his bag to find his swim shorts and changed into them, leaving his button-down shirt on over it and then sitting on the end of the bed to wait for her. There was a heavy sort of excitement inside him, the news was amazing and wonderful and the timing sucked. He would just have to make the best of it for now and show her how much he loved her later.)
