That reminds me, 23-- last night I saw that episode of Taxicab Confessions that you talked about on the real forum. I just caught the part that you discussed, with the man talking about his experiences living with the bush people. Strange, to people brought up in our culture, to consider a community where sex seems to have no connection at all with deeper emotional intimacy or bonding. I realize in our own society many of us enjoy that type of experience, once in a while or always, but usually it appears that even for those participants there's an underlying yearning for an exclusive sexual partner or mate.

It make me wonder about the early upbringing of the people the passenger described. Thinking maybe if kids are raised from a very young age in a totally communal atmosphere, without having a special bond to parents or any particular child-caregivers, they feel less of a need to form emotional dependencies later in life (?)
