Subject: Henry Rollins

Stuff to see and hear:
Henry Rollins apparently likes Akron. The punk elder statesman, actor, writer and monologist is making a return appearance at Thursday's Lounge on Feb. 13, which also happens to be his birthday. Legend has it that Rollins' birthday shows are something special and are often recorded.
In addition, Rollins has been hosting the Henry's Film Corner show on the Independent Film Channel, which gives him the opportunity to talk to many famous folks and add new stories to his many misadventures.
If you are such a big fan that you feel compelled to get him a birthday present, may we suggest a year's supply of protein shakes, one of those stress-relieving squeeze toys with the bulging eyes, or perhaps the deluxe DVD edition of Bad Boys 2 featuring Mr. Rollins as a SWAT team member?
Also, it'll be the day before Valentine's Day, which will likely stir up some reminiscences of Rollins' storied, troubled love life.
Thursday's isn't very large so if you want to bask in the sweat and testosterone that still oozes from Rollins' every pore, and you were lucky enough to get a ticket before the show sold out, get there early.

Henry Rollins is coming here! YEAH! Now I just gotta figure out where Thursday's is! :) It'll be my valentine's present to me!

""Rollins has been hosting the Henry's Film
Corner show on the Independent Film Channel""

~~~Does anyone know when this is on? I would like to watch it. EST
I have seen Henry Rollins live and I also saw him hanging out in a club in Toronto once. I want to go see his Spoken Word Shows.
I have tickets to see Henry here on February 18. I can't wait. The man is too damn funny, not to mention the awesome thoughts going through his head.
I still recommend his books to anyone.
Leo, might I suggest waiting around after his show this time. I talked to him for a good while after the Rollins Band show in Towson. Very cool guy...just can't get used to his intense thousand-yard stare when he talks. He doesn't look through you, he looks through you ...and the guy 3 blocks away :)
Yeah, if its not too cold maybe I will. Its at the factory though, I wonder if chairs will be set up, like when he did spoken word at the TLA. I had almost forgotten about the Towson show, seems like eons ago.
That's because it was...lol ;)
I've lost whole years recently. I can't account for most of 2002 or 2003. I was on a lot of pain killers and heavy duty anti depressants...just wiped my mind of nearly everything that happened for 2 years.
