i'm starting to reread mists of avalon. haven't really picked up anything new as of late, sad to say but mists of avalon is SUCH a good winter book.

i read a book once, it was written by some soap opera writer and it had the WORST sex scenes ever, like so devoid of anything it was like reading about someone taking out the garbage or something. i didn't finish that book either.

I'm currently reading a short story collection by China Mieville and Volume I of The Invisibles (graphic novel by Grant Morrison). Both are really good.

I bought a few more books over the weekend (got a late, but nice, xmas bonus from work), The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell (non-fiction) and The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester (SF).

So you ladies dig the erotica, huh? My wife has been writing some of that lately.

No - not really - I just figured that'd be the best part of that particular book. I was looking for a light read, and had heard that Nicholas Sparks was good - but that particular book...it's been a long time since I haven't forced myself to finish a book. It was bad. I'd rather read a Harlequin novel.

Your wife has been writing some though? That's cool. Anne Rice has some out (under Anne Rampling I think), but I've never read any. Her regular books can be pretty erotic sometimes anyhow. I think I'll add one to my list because I never realized until now that I've never actually read one!

You can usually find the erotica under annonymous in the bookstore
fiction dept. There's always the classic Henry Miller and his girlfriend Annis Nin, I like them better, they're more subtle. That movie "Henry and June" is all about them and it's such an erotic movie. Oooohh! It is, It is.
