You can usually find the erotica under annonymous in the bookstore
fiction dept. There's always the classic Henry Miller and his girlfriend Annis Nin, I like them better, they're more subtle. That movie "Henry and June" is all about them and it's such an erotic movie. Oooohh! It is, It is.

Re: Books -- chrys, 17:02:41 01/17/06 Tue [1]
yes i did know that, i even heard that the "ghostwriter" is actually a dude, writing these stories about girls coming of age. btw it's b/c of vc. andrews that i can't stand that "figure of a woman" line in out of exile.
i havent' read too many of her books, but i did read my sweet audrina when i was like twelve, and let me tell ya, it taught me a lot i didn't already know, hahaha, but i loved it, the creepiness, the mystery, and i liked arden. i have reread it a couple times and seem to like it less and less each go round but you can't deny the intrigue and the overall undertone of that book, i would probably read it again.
then i read two books about melody, and the book dawn which i really disliked, i felt tricked into feeling sorry for her. that one was real weird too, like her brother wasnt' really her brother and this other guy was and i think she did stuff with both of them or something...

>I am reading Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamont. It is pretty cool lots about faith, living life on lifes terms. I am going to read A Year by the Sea next....then hopefully My Friend Leonard-by James Frey. I can't believe he is getting all the flack for a Million Little Pieces. I have this thing about reading all the books by one author and then getting bored because they have no books out....hopefully I am breaking that pattern.
Anyone read Memoirs of a Geisha?

lake - oddly enough traveling mercies was recommended to me a long time ago by another forum member. I have read one of Anne LaMott's books, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I don't think it was that one. My lazy ass doesn't want to get up and check the title, but Chrys will know which one it was, lol.
A Year by the Sea - who is the author? I'm thinking I have that book, but haven't read it yet.....
I read Memoirs of a Geisha years ago and would like to see the movie.

leo you probably read bird by bird, her book on writing, that's just my guess, she has a bunch of books. i read recently her plan b, which has lots of thoughts on faith. some of it sounded preachy to me, but some of it was awesome.
and yes you do have a year by the sea, i gave it to you for xmas one year, lol.

Yep, it was Bird by Bird. I knew you'd know, and you're not gonna like this - for some reason I thought it was my mom who gave me A Year by the Sea. I'm glad I have you to keep track for me!!
