My hubby was pretty traumatized by the whole experience especially the umbillical chord. For the last baby he was with me at the hospital for a few hours with the kids, but I had my mother as my coach instead and my wacko mother in law stood around taking pictures.

For the pain I really did a great job with my breathing and meditation it really help better than everything else, except the ......epidural. But while getting the epidural I was using the breathing to saty still while she did the procedure and she told me I was the best person she ever dealt with.

"BF and I still wonder if he should stay by my head or witness the whole thing."

I must admit, I've had some concerns in this area. I've talked to my wife about it, and we're not quite sure what we're going to do. I definitely want to be in the delivery room, I just don't know if I particularly want to see that favorite of places do those things I'm not used to seeing it do. I consider myself a pretty progressive guy, but I also don't want to lie to myself here because I feel like progressive guys like myself should witness the event and then I end up changing my mental slide show of that part of my wife's body.

I'm not sounding sounding like a soulless ass, am I?
