Damn, they need to put duct tape over his mouth:
"If you want your ass kicked, you've come to the right place," he added. "And you may have the opportunity to shake that ass too."
If they shut him the hell up I might buy the album. But this time I'll probably want to check it out before I put my hand in my pocket.

What's with this lowest common denominator bullshit?
"If you want your ass kicked..."
Sounds like something Nickelback would say.
Chris never did this with SG and Tom never did this with RATM. Why have they decided to market themselves this way? Is it just about the money? Or have they grown insecure as they've aged and they don't feel validated if the kids don't think they're cool?
We all know both Tom and Chris are smarter than this. We all know they have the capability to appeal to a smarter, both musically and politically/philosophically, audience.
It seems like music has gone from being an artistic passion to just being a fun job.
But I could be wrong.

My theory is that they are all on some sort of anti-depressent/anti-anxiety prescription medication tat is too strong for them and are now void of all emotion.
Hey - that's better than being abducted by aliens and replaced in society by faking aliens while the real Tom and Chris are being studied on Jupiter.

He sounds like some cheesy announcer. I'm expecting him to bust out with:
SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! AS will be playing at the Arena. Adults pay full price, but kids are only fice bucks! That's right! FIVE BUCKS!! Ticket price paid for the whole seat, but you'll only need the edddggeeee.......

a revolution that you can shake your ass to?
contactmusic.com article
AUDIOSLAVE BLAST BUSH OVER KATRINA
AUDIOSLAVE have slammed US President GEORGE W BUSH on a new song about the aftermath of last year's (05) Hurricane Katrina, marking the first time the politically-conscious supergroup has ventured into campaigning. Despite being made up of three former members of lobbying rockers RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, TOM MORELLO, BRAD WILK and TIM COMMERFORD, Audioslave's singer, and ex-SOUNDGARDEN frontman, CHRIS CORNELL was initially wary of singing about politics. But, on their as-yet-untitled third album, Audioslave have finally decided to speak out on new track WIDE AWAKE. Morello says, "It's the most political song Audioslave's ever written, and it's a scathing condemnation of the Bush administration's failures in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. "It's a sad, powerful and angry song."

hmmm Slamming Bush publically, I wonder if they'll get to release it. I know there's free speech and all, so they say.

Dear the Devil,
Please, please, I beseech you-- do not tempt Rob in this way!
I have witnessed humans haunted for life with nightmarish words and images eternally seared into their minds in the wake of Rob's wrath.
Continue to tempt him in other directions if you will, but Please do not will him into fully expressing his opinions on Audioslave!
The world will praise you for your gesture of good-will.
thank you in advance,
a concerned citizen
