Re: epidurals.

My wife knows someone who has permanent nerve damage from getting an epidural. Apparently it's not as uncommon as one would think. I mean, they are jamming a big needle into your spinal column.



(my wife plans on doing a natural birth, but I made her promise that she would keep drugs as an option if necessary).

When i was born, the lady in the same room as my mother also had nerve damage. One false move during an epidural and it's a spinal tap. I found my breathing through the procedure really helped, especially during a contraction.Spinal injury has happened before, but it's not common.
