Subject: To IMAX or not to IMAX

quick question before I am forced away from here for the day...

I'm seeing V tonight, and there are two shows, both at 10. I'm undecided as to which I should see, the regular movie screen or the IMAX version. I'm thinking I might want to go for the normal screen first, then IMAX later.

Any suggestions? pros or cons?

I'm going to see in on IMAX on Sunday in Cincinnati. I would go for the IMAX first, if you have that option. Huge screen, amazing soundsystem, seems like a no-brainer to me.

Thanks guys! I have my ticket for a 10:30 IMAX show tonight. Weird, yesterday yahoo only had the one movie time listed -today when I get to the theatre there are lots of showings.

Now I have to keep myself awake till 10:30. I think I might take myself over to the mall and do some book/music browsing or better yet buy some much needed makeup that I've been putting off for the better part of a decade.

I just got in.....

I wish this movie were just a movie to me, but its not, so I am in a state of absorbtion and somewhat disconcerted.

I do think the actors did a wonderful job.

I won't post anything else till the rest of you see it.

I absolutely loved it.

It differed from the graphic novel in quite a few areas, but I think the differences made sense most of the time and only added additional relevance for the audience circa 2006.

I'm going to go again. I hope a lot of people see this movie.

Powerful stuff.

How much more for the IMAX verson? That's a lot of info to process IMO. IMAX is cool, but I can only take so much of it.

I'm interested in reading in-depth views of this film, if anyone would like to indulge me. I'll probably see it eventually, but unlike a lot of people, I suppose, the more I know about something, the more enjoyment I usually get out of it.

Also, is Natalie Portman crying/victimized all through the film? Hope not-- but that's how the trailers seem to portray her.

lite - no, she's not. But she is sort of "us" throughout the film - and as the events unfold she knows about as much as we do and is therefore shocked and confused in quite a few situations.

She had an amazing performance, IMO. I really think you'd dig the flick.
