Subject: our non-human brood

I was feeling kind of bad posting pics of my unborn kid and not showing off my already born furry children. So I thought I’d start a pet pics thread. I have two cats and two dogs:

Cosmo:

Birdy:

Niney:

Sparky:

Very cool! I love that big haus-of-a-dog in the first pictures. Your kiddo will make a great "brother" to your clan.

Question...how do you post pictures anyway? I can post some of me and the kiddo, too. (just to let you know that I'm not, in fact, a giant sweet tater)

I created an account at photobucket.com (thanks to tg's recommendation) and it's pretty self-explanatory as to how they host pics. They then give you a URL of your pic's web addy, and from there follow these directions:

http://www.boardhost.com/help/tutorials/html.html

Pic posting is about halfway down the page.

Well I actually found out how to do it from alight.

After I submit my pic, I usually Cut and Paste the TAG that they give to here. It's really easy.

Animal eyes are one of the most beautiful things in the world - so beautiful that they can scarcely be captured with a camera!

I like your black kitty.

And the trim in your hallway matches the trim in my living room. :)

Ah, I see you have a tabby bed-sloth too! Ours is always on someone's bed or lap. People are surprised when it occasionally moves.
The black cat is gorgeous, such a rich colour. We have a fluffy black female, but she has gone a rusty colour on the ends of her fur, and has a tendency to look like an old bundle of rags.
What breed is the dog in the first picture? He looks very staunch. And does the other have some doberman in her?
Cute pix, anyhoo!!

amadaun - they're mutts. Cosmo (the orange-ish dog) is at least part Chow. We don't know what else is in him. A woman at a gas station in West Virginia thought he might be part bear. "What is he, part bear?" (you have to say it in a thick appalachian accent for full effect - ongoing joke among my wife and I).

We don't know what Birdy is (other than a psychological wreck - all of our animals are rescues, but she was abused pretty badly before we got her and still has the emotional scars). Some people say part Doberman, others tell us greyhound/Rottweiler. She's as fast as a greyhound.

And the guy flopped on his back, Sparky, is the best cat ever. He's not always the nicest, but he's like the proto-typical cat. The Cat archetype or something. Very tempermental but can be very affectionate, as well. Amazing hunter. Too smart for his own good. Great cat.

Niney, the black one, may be homosexual. We're not quite sure. He talks like a girl and bathes all the other animals all the time. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

23 looks down and Niney with his West Virginia accent ready:

Gawd made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Yor goin' ta hell kitty.

LOL! I've been dying to use that line since I saw it on that show where all those people are locked in a basement until they can unanimously decide who should get $1,500,000. That preacher lady sho is full of it.

Oh, sweet! Your furry kids are adorable! And, may I add that your toilet is looking rather spic n span hehehe Shiney!

I got me a black cat named Jake. He's convinced that he's a minature Puma, constantly on the slinky prowl. He's a pip and sometimes a bit of a bastid! You know, he's also got some homosexual tendencies, but we think it's a phase ; )

Oh...I have some slithery friends too...4 corn snakes and a pueblan milk snake named Peanut, 'cause she's got a peanut shaped head. Corn snakes are Cornelius, Checkers, Chess and Raider.

I had a beautiful, wonderful, much loved dogson named Bon, but he unfortunately left me some time ago. Cancer. It was and remains a tragedy. I miss him everyday and then some! I did all that I could for him, but in the end all I could do for him was let him go. But, he had a great life and I know that he knew he was loved!

Ok...must learn to post pics! I got some great ones....

Later,
Laurie

I have an overweight Dalmation named Louie (for the vampire, so that if she ever bit anyone she'd feel bad about it) and a large LOUD grey cat named Stitch.

I've never put up pics before, but this weekend I'll head over to photobucket and see if my lame ass can't figure it out.
