Alright, this is gonna have to be the condensed version or else I'll never get it out.....

Laur, Phil was there! I was so excited when Jerry introduced him, he said something like "this is a guy we have a lot of respect for..." and i was all "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah". Afterwards Phil was hanging out at the side of the stage, I told him he rocked and he squoze my hand. I'm wondering if the songs Phil sang are going to be on TV, since the man can't help but use profanities, lol.

ok back up to the beginning. I have to set the stage. It was a beautiful weekend so I was all excited for friends, music, and water. For me there is nothing better. I crave the ocean at this time of year so the location totally heightened my experience.

U4ria and I picked up our tickets from the box office. Row 13 - my lucky number! We met up with friends, ventured out to the beach and had some drinks before the show. When we were entering the venue, the guy scans my ticket and it was bleeping. He tells us to go back to the box office, something is wrong. I was nervous because it was close to show time. It turns out someone made a mistake - so it was rectified by offering us pit tickets!! We get inside and the pit turns out to be nothing more that the size of the usual barricade between the band and the GA section. It was unbelievable. I stood at Jerry's feet the entire AIC show.

and now i'm outta time, more later, and I haven't forgotten about the gods, both musical and otherwise...

ALICE IN CHAINS Frontman's Biography 'Angry Chair' is Back In Print - Mar. 16, 2006

ARTS Publications has announced plans to run a new reprint of the biography of late ALICE IN CHAINS frontman Layne Staley, titled "Layne Staley: Angry Chair" (more information), courtesy of Xanadu Enterprises Inc.

According to a press release, journalist-author Adriana Rubio has received a number of e-mails, correspondences and phone calls from Layne's fans lately asking for "Angry Chair" copies at a more reasonable price, since this title is out of print and "used" copies are being sold by a big number of online booksellers, who are NOT connected with the author neither the publisher, for over $100, $180 and even for $400.

Layne Staley died in April 2002. He was once on top of the music world as the lead singer for ALICE IN CHAINS and MAD SEASON. "Layne Staley: Angry Chair" is filled with exclusive interviews with his mother, Nancy, his sister, Liz, and Layne himself…as he broke his five-year public silence just months before his death. The book also includes pictures from Layne's childhood, drawings, poetry and a lot more.

Adriana Rubio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a member of "The Latin American Journalists Federation" (FELAP) and also of "The Union Press Workers of Buenos Aires" (UTPBA).

Rubio is an investigative journalist and has published three books in the United States: "Dave Mustaine: Are you Ready to Take the Risk?" (Vantage Press), "Layne Staley: Angry Chair" (Xanadu Enterprises) and "Jim Morrison Ceremony" (ARTS Publications).
