Subject: Advice: Would you be po'd?

This weekend I went out with a group of my bf's friends that I had never met before. I was happily surprised and liked all but 1 quite a bit. The 1 I did like, but she's one of those overy flirtatious people who should pay attention to men who aren't taken already. Specifically mine because I'm kinda a territorial alpha-female.

SPEAKING of paying attention, we did go to a bar that had some dancing - and I just have to dance when given the opportunity! Well the one guy (who I just love to death) was the only guy of the 3 with the balls to dance. Why are guys so shy when it comes to this? Anyhow, I was dancing with 2 girls and this guy. The overly firtatious aggressive girl goes and dances with some guy she's trying to pick up. The other girl just stops for some reason. And I end up with the guy (who was cracking me up with his Micheal Jackson moves). He says "Uh oh. I'm in trouble." But he still dances. Then his girlfriend comes over and dances with us a bit. And goes away. He says it again. I asked him if my bf was watching (because I didn't know what he meant) and he shook his hand with a so/so sorta. So it wasn't my bf. Anyhow, I'm just drunk and dancing and if he weren't out there I'd be like Billy Idol dancing with myself. Anyhow, after that, his girlfriend won't talk to me! I wasn't dry humping his knee or anything - I purposely kept a good 3 feet between us.

Anyhow - this girl was my equal - really. I do have to keep in mind too that she was the ONLY sober one in the group.

But I'm not good in social situations like that. Was I wrong? Should I have quit dancing because the other 2 girls did?

Well first off I'm so glad to hear that you all have graduated to the amturity level of all going out together and including everyones significant other. No bashing just mentioning, I'm glad, because maybe now it will lead to more outings and you will get to know everyone a little better. That's what I think was the problem, she doesn't know you and she has got to get to know you, to know that your not stealing her boyfriend. That you can all be friends. Next time the opportunity arises, sit beside her and talk. I think you should maybe paln a get together somewhere else or at your place, seeing how you like to have parties.

I don't think you did anything wrong. She's the problem.
