Subject: Hi Guys!

Well I had a couple of firsts in my life yesterday and I just wanted to share them with people from the CC forum that I knew would have the same enthusiasm as me.......

I had tickets to NIN for the show in Milwaukee last night. I was supposed to go with a girlfriend of mine but she canceled at the last minute and I mean last minute. I wasn't going to go because I was like Fuck I don't want to go ALONE.....but I wanted to go to the show so bad I said screw it. I like being with me so I guess I am not alone.

That was first number one....and I have to say the show fucking rocked! I have never seen them live before and they really, really put on a great show. It was almost better than Audioslave....but since I love Chris so much I can't go there.

I was in the fifth row for a while but the mosh pit go to be too much and I mean too much. People were fucking crazy and everybody was moshing. I felt like at one point I was going to pass out so that is when I decided to take a break from it.

I ended up going to the back of the crowd and was able to see really good and I was able to dance and really enjoy the show. It totally re-kindled my admiration for NIN. I am going to have to go out and buy back the CD's that I lost a few years ago.

As an added plus because the show was sold out, I was able to sell my ticket before I even approached the club. So that was kind of cool I got face value I could have gotten more but hey I didn't even pay for my ticket they were a gift from my sister.

The only disappointment of the show and trust me this was the only one was that they didn't do an encore. I guess Trent was sick, but he sure didn't act or sound like it.

So I am walking back to my car and this little cat comes scurrying across the road so I stop and pet it. It followed me for a while so I picked it up and took it home with me. I don't know if I am going to keep it because I have two other cats and I am concerned about the stray having FIV or something. I haven't decided whether or not I will take it to a vet for testing. I really do not want to take it to the pound because I know what happens there.....anyhow if I do keep it I decided to name it Reznor. Cool huh?

So that is what has been going on with me.....sorry I haven't posted in a while. This board is a little hard to read and that kind of keeps me away. Any news on when the CC board will be back up?

Too bad you ended up going alone, sounds like you ended up with a new friend though.

Reznor's a cool name!

Yeah I was kind of pissed off at first but she had a good reason....I don't have a lot of friends that like the same kind of music I do unfortunately, People in recovery tend to give up that part of their lives because it reminds them of the old days....

Still I had a great time anyway....I am really glad I went.

Sounds like you've already decided to keep the cat, to me.

:)

Hi!!
Sounds like you had a great time, sometimes being alone is funner, because you don't have to worry about anyone else and can be your true identity.

I had a plant named Reznor, back in the day! I think your gonna keep the kitty too, how could you not? Call around and see if you can find a cheap vet in the area. There are some that are really reasonable.

Did you know Twan is gonna be a daddy?!

Good to hear from ya, actually NIN is playing in my neck of the woods tonight. I couldn't go though, had to work and have to get up with the kids at 6am...I know, I know, I don't have my priorities straight. :)

No I did not know Twan was going to be a daddy! Congrats! When is your due date (well you know whatI mean)?

Hey Wolfie.....you are right it was kind of more fun on my own because I could do whatever I want...I didn't have to worry about anyone else, whether or not they were having a good time.

Remember the AS show and when we got so close and people were moshing? I have to say that was pretty tame compared to the pit at NIN. I couldn't believe how crazy it was! I had these big hoop earrings on and I thought they were going to get ripped out of my ears. It was unbelievable!

The opening band was pretty good too, Moving Units. The singer was sick too and got really pissed off at this guy in the crowd and yelled at him. They were kind of The Strokes/The Cure mix of a band. They didn't get much of a response from the crowd but I thought they were good.

Speaking of The Strokes-Anyone heard the new CD? I have heard bits and pieces and I really like it. Much different than the past few ones.

hey lake!

awesome about the NIN show! you know i was just talkign to a friend abotu this the other night, cuz she doesn't like to go alone anywhere. she's afraid ppl are looking at her like she couldn't find anyone to go with her, but i don't think that is usually the case. i told her it'd be one thing if she always went to the same tavern and cried into her beer glass all n ight, lol. but going places aloen can be really awesome. sometimes i think you have a much higher chance of meeting people that way. and like others said, you have more freedom, don't have to worry about anyone else and whether they are having a good time or whether they want to stay up and mosh or hang back or whatever.

so, go you! and glad you had such a good time!
