I doubt the bowl is a problem. If anything, your friend that passed might come through better because of that connection.

If it didn't totally freak you out, I suggest continuing to place the bowl there for a month or until your issue passes. Place a fresh garlic clove in a little bag and leave it under your pillow or on the night stand.

What is the garlic for? I would have to explain this behavior less someone think I believe in vampires! :)

That shoulder thing didn't freak me out too badly, but I didn't like it. I didn't like the crowded feeling either. At all. But the threat wasn't strong enough to make me dump the water, so I'll keep on keeping on.

Also, I usually explain what I'm doing out loud (for things like this). I didn't last night. Maybe that'd help?

I just kinda feel like there was so much going on that perhaps my intentions were lost or pushed outta the way for/by other things.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's not the person from the wedding coming through. I do think I know who this is, but without proof would never make that assumption out loud. I just wondered if the emotions connected to the bowl would have an effect.

And the dresser noise is probably unrelated. Though it does happen more when you feel a presence, it happens all the time on it's own. I think it has something to do with room temp/old wood.

~~~ If you have something from the person you think it is, put that out and see if anything happens. Along with the bowl of water, but I don't get the garlic thing too.
similar use as for vampires ... repels "undesirable" spirits.
fresh water every day ... don't let the cats (if you have cats that is) drink it if at all possible (but if they do during the night don't sweat it)
Ya know, that might help actually. State your intentions to receive messages in your dreams from friendly spirits. Rhyming helps too.
garlic
Again, I would think that the only affect the bowl could have would be to allow that particular person to come through easier (i.e. it wouldn't be carrying "baggage" related to her death). But that doesn't mean that it necessarily needs to be her who comes through.
Gotcha.
The cat did drink out of the water last night. Does that taint it? Then he laid next to me - which he doesn't do very often.
"The cat did drink out of the water last night. Does that taint it?"
No ... just not great for him to drink for his sake.
"Then he laid next to me - which he doesn't do very often."
LOL ... cats "see" very well ... good to have him next to you.
