Say a small prayer for my mom, she is scattered out there.

It is beautiful there and I would strongly suggest that you go inside the canyon, not just peer out at it from atop. If you do decide to go inside, do not go too far. Maybe an hour cuz it will take you 2 hours to get back out, the gravity is that strong there! Wear really comfortable hiking boots and bring plenty of water.
One other thing, stop for a moment on your journey in there and just listen to the silence...it is remarkable how quiet it is. It is like listening to time itself. It reminds you, by its granduer and beauty, how infintesimally small we all really are, quite a connection to the universe.
