Subject: What if the "purpose" of our nonprofit would be to : perform for civic and community groups, more

perform for nursing homes, perform for schools, represent the culture on diversity days and multicultural days etc
i know many ethnic dance groups that are501cs and they are non profit. They are able to deduct their costumes etc. Just thinking about looking into it. What if a small group of dancers or parents formed a small performing group that performed for hte community and at the same time they were able to be anon profit? Certainly we never earn a "profit' from Irish dance but we do enrich the community with our art?
