Subject: Any Flash Gordon Films for Near Future?

From time to time, I'd check IMDb and other sources on line to see if any new FG releases were near. Last I checked IMDb for this eg, it was a work in progress or something of that nature. Now I see nothing, zip, or I'm not checking the proper or enough sources.

Anyone know if FG may be rebooted, either for the big screen, or small...in some way. If not, guess we have to treasure the materials we presently have. Any comments?

I haven't heard any news lately about a Flash Gordon remake or reboot. There was talk of Breck Eisner doing an FG project, but that was a few years ago. I can't find anything at all from the last year or two.

It would have been interesting to see how Eisner's Flash Gordon turned out. In this 2010 interview he spoke disdainfully of the SciFi (now Syfy) Flash Gordon series from 2007-2008, which is a good sign. Most fans of the classic Flash Gordon (comic strip or serials) didn't care much for the SciFi program.

I have heard that Sam J. Jones will be returning for the Ted sequel with Mark Wahlberg. Jones played himself in the first Ted film in 2012.
