Subject: Open Enrollment Period

I've returned from my travels from the Tunnel of Terror to set more traps for certain earth people, their friends, and an AWOL soldier. My full metal armor was in dire need of an oil & grease job, just accomplished, readying me for the next mission. Fortunately, I recalled this time slot on Mongo, generally about now, as Open Enrollment time for fans and posters, a period unbeknownst to many, but specified in Section M.43/8.2a, Note 468j-8, para 12.9i.

In this period, we often admit (with limited interrogation and much fanfare) new members..to communicate with, have fun, teach, learn, become informed, in an interactive way. Members of Flash Gordon, Universal Horror, others also, are encouraged to cross over the light bridge, back and forth, with words of wisdom, informative clever "stuff," good clean fun things. We are not that large a group, but our quality ranks among the finest. Do we make mistakes? Sometimes. Are we honest and straightforward, yes mostly always.

Well Frankie, good luck to you here, feel comfortable, have fun, and for good luck, we will have the High Priest on Mongo strike his trusty old gong 7 times for luck, and may the smarts be with you. If you're not an FG/BR serial fan, do look into them, I suspect a person of your caliber might be intrigued, certainly fans were to this day on a world wide basis, NASA remembered, and perhaps you recall that flick Mission to Mars where Gary Sinese treasured that Flash Gordon charm given to him. Those serials, movies, comics, stories were granddads of sci fi films to come for decades. Do lounge around this site and the various links....and, welcome aboard.

I agree with Officer Torch, it's always nice to see new visitors cross over to this side of the light bridge. I grew up on Universal horror films featuring Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney, et al, but only became a Flash Gordon aficionado in the last couple of years. It's a fun ride, whether visiting Mongo or Mars, so climb aboard if you are so inclined!
