Subject: A Salute to NASA

A salute to NASA is highly appropriate on this day, July 20, forty years after the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. As fans of Flash Gordon, science fiction, astronomy, and the real deal...science, we salute you, the men and women of NASA; astronauts, mission control, the scientists, technicians, staff members, all those involved. Apollo 11, missions before and after, Skylab, the Space Shuttle, satellites, the space station and other missions have provided us with technological advances which have trickled down in many positive ways impacting our lives.

While we have our share of problems, it is important the space program continue with suitable funding while the expertise is still available. Knowledgeable/experienced people are necessary to continue, and continue we must. It is hoped our President Obama and legislators will do what is necessary to ease the path. For our members and readers, there is a NASA link on this site, and scroll all the way down the article page for options.

NASA, FOR YOUR DEDICATED HARD WORK, BRAVERY, AND VALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS, WE SALUTE YOU.

That's one small step for man...
One giant leap for mankind.
