Well, joystar made it across our light bridge, and we're pleased to have her aboard. Hey Dan, you're next...c'mon over sometimes. Alan, others also. We're gonna eventually try to chase away those approaching mid winter blues. Fun stuff. Some laughs maybe. Could use your help. Sure I like horror "stuff" and scifi, but some good clean laughs are good especially these days for lots of reasons. We need Emperor Ming in on this, so its best we do it here. Easier to scroll down and do open book stuff with archives.

joystar...just to wrap up some ends, Ray "Crash" Corrigan was in 1936 serial "Undersea Kingdom." It has its own elements and some perhaps from serials: The Phantom Empire, Flash Gordon, possibly Tim Tyler's Luck, maybe a potpourri from others also. C.Montague Shaw, Jack Mulhall and Lon Chaney Jr. are also in it and its better than average to me anyway. Not FG, but decent. We see a fancy sub instead of rocket, and go below sea level to deal with Atlantians instead of outer space guys.

The "contraption" I refer to, a ground vehicle, appears similar to that used in jungle of Tim Tyler's Luck. Dunno, if it's same prop... maybe. Corrigan gets strapped to front while vehicle rams things.

He also appeared as the orangopoid in 1936s Flash Gordon using a heavy, clumsy costume were told which was hot to wear and heavy.

Hi Torch, Rick, Tim, and Joy. Good to be here.

After just looking across the "Light Bridge" a few times, I finally made it all the way across.

I haven't seen the Flash Gordon serials in years, but I got the DVD set of all three FG serials for Christmas.

The only one I've had was a TV copy of FG Conquers the Universe. And I haven't watched it since I taped it off AMC back in 1996. That's when AMC didn't run commercials and butcher the films.

Well anyway, so far I've watched the first 6 chapters of the first FG serial. I've been watching 3 chapters at a time once a week. And it's great being able to see FG again

Hi Dan,

Just had a look. Glad you got all three serials. Look forward to your insights.

Rick
