MINGO CITY BULLETIN
Welcome to the first edition of the Mingo City Bulletin. This is a sample for your perusal, information, commentary, classifieds, ads, televisor listing, etc. There is no charge for this abbreviated sample, you will be auto billed M75 a week (a mere 75 Mingols) for future releases. Truly a buy.
News from Mongo
Mingo City...Fighting erupts between the High Priests. Word has it that a fist fight broke out between the two High Priests. A dispute arose who would perform the marriage ceremony between Emperor Ming and Dale Arden. The priest, nicknamed "The Cackler" won the fight, bragging rights, and the honor to conduct the ceremony.
UPDATE: only 12 bells sounded instead of the required 13 owing to Flash Gordon's intense worrying. He stopped the gong.
Sky City...Orso became ill. It is unclear if it was due to spoiled food or one of King Vultan's shadow puppet shows, as some claim.
The Lion Men....two were reprimanded for getting a shave and haircut, but were pardoned when it was found they did this to prevent lengthy facial hair from interfering with their work on newly invented gyroscopes to steady Thun's gyro ships.
Notices...the populace is urged to follow the detour signs in the Tunnel of Terror. The gocko's lair is being prepped for cleaning. Help wanted: M25 per day, bring own shovel and tools. Include proof of life insurance with resume.
News from Mars
A document was discovered indicating that Tarnak is (at least) a triple agent with time traveling capabilities...since he's also Argo in Earth's underground Murania, and Patten in 25th century Buck Rogers.
News from Saturn....Zuggs revolt against harsh treatment complaining of excessive housekeeping chores. Meeting with council becomes violent when they hurl Zuggian curse words at council on bench above and referring to council members as "Jawas." Meanwhile, Buck Rogers tries to act as ombudsman traveling to/from Saturn about 4 times.
Killer Kane holds Prince Tallen hostage...and suspects his helmet same as Barin used in FGs Trip to Mars. Plants an amnesia helmet element in Tallen's hat.
Make Over News...rumor has it that Barin and Aura had extensive makeovers and apparel wear preferences during latter years.
Commentary....There have been several questions that often come up...with various comments. We may never know for sure, a)how or if the Hawkmen sleep, b)can a clay man be shot dead? or is he just doomed? c)was that an erector set in Mars when Azura was crossing the light bridge?

RE Classifieds. I hope the shovels supplied for the Radium Factory work will not be shovels previously used for cleaning the gocko's lair in The Tunnel of Terror. It's tough enough feeding those atom furnaces as it is.

Uhh..Sergeant Tim.. is your inquiry related to interest in that position? I suspect you've seen that new hi def televisor and looking for extra Mingols cash. Be advised the SAME shovels will be utilized to cut costs. Economy woes permeate the universe we're told. A less demanding slot may be opening. Seems Ming's souvenir shop will have a clearance sale on bobble heads and will look for P/T help. Oh, perhaps you'd like to deliver The Mingo City Bulletin? We can start you off immediately if you like. Pay is higher owing to risks involved with stratosled delivery. Nice ship though, has mats, moon roof, A/C, and stereo plays Les Preludes. Think about it.

Sounds like a good opportunity for some extra Mingols, despite the risks mentioned above. Of course there is the additional worry of potential customer complaints about newspapers received wet in Kala's Kingdom or frozen in Frigia, but hey, it still beats feeding Vultan's Atomic Furnaces with a Gocko-enhanced shovel. Plus moon roof, A/C and Les Preludes....Sweet!

Whoa! whoa! Sgt.Tim...first things first. Call that number in the classifieds. It's to the "M1 Certified Pre-Owned Stratosled Dealer" about 8 Mingomiles down Palace South. Ask for Shifty Fineprint. Tell him I sent you regarding item #13. You'll recognize Shifty by his loud attire. Don't insult...he's a nephew of Ming. Tell him I said to replace the small nautical type steering wheel with something better, put in a trapdoor to open for dropping Bulletins, fix the minor problems including the intermittent tailfin, and make sure Les Preludes doesn't skip in turbulent travel. I'll send you a PO # under separate cover. Wish you well in your moonlighting. Oh! I forgot. FYI, bulletin pkgs to Frigia are sprayed to prevent freezing, and heavy rocks are affixed to those destined for Kala's underwater kingdom. They're kinda heavy...you might want to work out a bit.
