There are some things in in general, and some specifics I enjoy. Here are some that come to mind for now:

Chapter Openings, the lightning flash, the rocket circling the mountain while the Foreward scrolls, the rousing music.

The Music...overall, rousing, exciting, in tune with the action..nicely timed and generally appropriate to the scene.

The Rocketship battles, swordfights, brisk action, radio devices, science.

Zarkov's smarts in Rock talk, language of the Rock People, long lost language (?) of tribe from Gobi desert on earth.

Ming's commanding performance and costumes in general.

The clock in the radio room seemingly frozen (I think) at about 6:30.

Capt. Torch (my nephew)rather unflattering disguise as one of Barin's guards entering the radio room in Barin's palace, also his exit.

The use of rope to transfer crew members from a rocketship ablaze in flight mind you.

The march of the torches, in Frigia, with some of the American version soundtrack from the German silent movie White Hell of Pitz Palu.(Search party looks for FG and company after they fall.)Stock footage from remarkable aforementioned movie was utilized.

The various rays, radios, weapons, kind of nasty stuff. Some frightening things from decades back when you think about it.
