A good example is when Prince Barin and Flash Gordon first meet in the aftermath of King Kala's flood-ravaged palace that is completely destroyed from Aura's sabotage.

There are many....here's one:
The Tournament of Death called by Ming in Vultan's sky city. Flash and a hooded opponent come forward with swords...they fight; Flash wins and uses his sword to remove hood from his opponent, which he discovers is Prince Barin. The later presents some....hmm, maybe iffy, wishy washy kind of excuse, to some...but Flash understands, and forgives, not letting this damage their friendship. Soon after, Barin tells Flash he (Barin) loves Princess Aura.
The tournament ends after Flash is also victorious in downing an orangopoid, basically a single horned gorilla looking creature in the serial. Turns out Aura helps Flash by telling him to thrust a spear between the eyes; info she obtained from the high priest.
