Hey Tim, Ray, and monster movie fans (including us) hmm...shall we say Gordonologists?!? Many of us enjoy monster movie fare, along with scifi, super heros, action/adventure, suspense-drama, comedy, etc. So, we've things in common. Chime in if you've questions/interest in Flash Gordon "stuff" and we'll ask you guys if we've questions re Universal classics or the like if that's ok.

The stores and on-line outfits have after Halloween sales galore this year more than ever! So, it might behoove our members to be alert of bargains/sales of monster movies while Holiday season items are also hitting the shelves.

I enjoy many of Universal classics from the Thirties and Forties. This said, allow me to rattle off some others, (not necessarily Universal)...and perhaps remakes, comedies, or just things you might find enjoyable before they're gone from sale shelves.

Here's my list, not all inclusive, purely subjective, but we can all add/discuss. Any comments by horror movie gurus, or members? Sure! bring 'em up. Let's talk.

Hmm..let's see, funny stuff...Young Frankenstein, Ed Wood with J.Depp and (a hilarious) M.Landau as Lugosi, Elvira-Mistress of the Dark, Mars Attacks. Not humorous..1994s Frankenstein w/DeNiro as Monster, Sixth Sense, Carnival of Souls (campy/low budget but spooky), Duel (TV movie) with Dennis Weaver, Halloween (mostly 1 and 2), Poltergeist, Purgatory (TNT fantasy western), Sleepy Hollow, What Dreams May Come, The Omen, The Exorcist, 1974s Dracula (TV) with Jack Palance, maybe The Shining, Twilight Zone the Movie, Hanger 18, and Aliens(Pt 2). Well, just some here but a start perhaps to open some dialog. Regards from ...well, aka "Officer Torch."

Boooo! ...and be sure to check under your bed before hitting the sack.
