I had vague recollections of seeing Ted Lorch elsewhere. Put his name in IMDb... seems he was a Kane council member! I enjoyed him as the FG 36 cackling priest...and it was funny at the end when Vultan was strangling him, and he still cackled! Full of emotion, devilish, humorous faces/gestures overall by this fellow.
Charles Middleton...tops. Dunno if anyone will ever be able to replicate his Ming. True, BC was our hero as FG, and who can forget his friends and our heroines, but...if I were really put on the spot, I'd have to give Ming my vote as favorite. Plus, since I am his loyal officer, how could I say otherwise? I understand some earthlings also enjoyed his role as Commandant in Laurel & Hardy's Flying Deuces.

I watch a lot of Turner Classic films and Middleton regularly pops up as a judge, sheriff, etc. No matter what the role is, Middleton comes through as the last person you'd ever want to deal with. But as Ming, he enters a new realm as absolutely evil.

In "Hell's Highway", he is a daffy imprisoned mystic (A role he also plays in "Palmy Days" but there he's a crooked mystic-much more "Ming") but whenever I see him I always expect Ming to come forth at any moment. What a great actor!
