Subject: My first impression review of Frankenstein anniversary 75 edition

Well,i'm not the greatest reviewer like Siskel and Ebert, but this Universal Legacy dvd has just about everything you ever wanted to know about the life and times of the legendary Frankenstein monster,Boris Karloff.

Of course the movie is in b/w and the soundtrack was much better than i expected. My only disappointment is why the packagers only glue tacked vital dvd info on the back of this dvd in only two spots and the Dracula backside dvd immediately flew off the backside as i unrapped the dvd as it's backside paperback was never intact!

The glue that holds together the dvd on the 1st dvd casing is almost unglued from the overall casing already! thank God that the two dvd's are intact, unlike the overall packaging.

Of course the interviews are all incolor and many of the art and photos of this old classic are also featured in color during the bonouses!

That Fritz with the hunch back and the fetish habbit of caring that tree branch with it lit in a fireball seemed to really intensify the Monster's outwardly agression.I didn't realize as a kid that the main reason the Frankenstein monster was difficult to control for Dr.Frankenstein was because his 'trusted' assistant Fritz stole the wrong brain out of the other mad scientists' lab.The brain Fritz stole was the brain of a criminal.

I wonder how the monster would have reacted if Fritz had stolen the correct brain? More like Herman Munster maybe? LOL oh well.I didn't realize that Karloff and the Dracula guy,Bela Lugosi had teamed up to make future money making monster movies for Universal.

Well, now i know the origins of Herman and GrandPa! LOL

Oh well, there's my review as i don't want to reveal too much for those of you who haven't seen the two dvd's yet and are still thinking about purchasing them.A worthwhile investment i must say!

Lots of great bonus material on both dvd's Frankenstein and Dracula.Up next my review of Lugosi's Dracula!

Thank you, Ray! Good review and jeers to Universal's quality control regarding the packaging problem you encountered.
