I must say Jean Rogers or at least the JR we see in FG '36 is one of the loveliest women I've ever seen, an opinion I've carried through most of my life. Unfortunately the second 1937 version is hardly the same person, in my opinion.

This forum opened my eyes to Ann Gwynne both as a very capable actress and also as a lovely woman. I never really had given her much thought but upon viewing "Universe" two years ago for the first time in a long time I saw the error of my previous opinion. She's a good (or should I say "bad"?) evildoer, a worthy assistant to Ming.

Beatrice Roberts is also quite attractive and she has many of Ming's dastardly attributes, all-in-all a good addition to the FG roster.

I've always felt a bit sorry for Carol Hughes. I feel that the script never gave her enough to do and her lines are delivered in too fawning a manner except when she momentarily bristles at Queen Fria. Nevertheless she is dedicated to Flash as Dale Arden should be.
