Subject: "Nah, you know you'll end up feelin' bad for Shay and get up with the baby sometimes." She grinned lightly at that, tipping her head to the side as she looked over her shoulder for a second and watched him. "I think it's sweet, you know, how you look out for her." He really did look out for Shaylin like she was a little sister or something and it was adorable the way he got so protective. The way he had said that she was a hell of a woman at the hotel though had got her thinking that maybe him and Shay would have been good for each other if Remy hadn't been in the picture, had her thinking about what would have happened if Kyrian had had a chance with the little dark haired activist. It was crazy how quickly jealousy and insecurities could flair up in a woman. Her brow furrowed a touch at her train of thought and she turned back to the dishes, finishing them up and putting them away before she yawned softly, rubbing her eyes in a childish manner.

Shay was like his little sister, and in that respect little Chase was a part of his family.. blood or not.. and he would die to protect that kid no matter what that meant. He couldnt explain, just knew that it was true. He watched her with quietly thoughtful eyes, wondering what she was thinking about, a slow smile creeping over his features at her praising words.) Yeah.. she and Remy are my family, odd as that sounds. (He had pretty much been abandoned, so to have a family connection was important to him.. it kept him grounded when he would have been lost.)
