(He hadn't heard much of what she had said after she had handed him the picture, and it was obvious from the sort of glassy eyed expression on his handsome features. He had taken the photo in the manner than anyone might take a vacation photo from someone else, but the moment his eyes wandered over the black and white image of his baby he sort of stilled and a bit of reverance made his hand shift on the image so that he could run his fingers over the side of the fetus' outline.. this was his baby, and it was so real that he couldn't help but feel an attachment to the little innocent creature. A silence fell between them in which he had a slightly stupified smile on his face and when he felt her gaze on him at last breaking through the private little moment he had been having, his eyes shifted from the image to her.) This is our baby.. (He said softly, as though reassuring himself that it was real.. that the little beautiful life shown in the image was really inside her.) We made this. (He said and then grinned a little, laughing as he shook his head and brought his hand to the back of her head to draw her in for a kiss, the photo still held between two of his fingers.)
