Not to be too scary, but stepmom would have never been diagnosed as early as she was if she hadn't been persistent. The docs kept telling her that her pain was residual pain from a ski injury a few months prior. She knew that it wasn't and she didn't let them stop testing until they figured it out. I'm confident that her persistence gained her 3 years she wouldn't have otherwise had.
