Subject: I need some med advice please!

Well I got my first cold of the year...heard that
darned kid sniffing and then coughing the next day and
thought...dammit!
So I am past the sore throat, but have an annoying haid
ache and runny nose which is making me cough.
What should I take to dry up my nose for a few hours?
nyQuil is my friend at night, but I need to get through the
day...oh and it had to be non drowsy and no antihistamines
so I can drive the bus!
Thanks in advance!

have to ask for them at the pharmacy because they keep them behind the counter. Gets rid of the head pain and dries up runny nose in about 20 minutes. They do make Dayquil too tho.

I swear by Mucinex D but it does have pseudophedrine in it. What about just regular Mucinex? Or an OTC nasal spray?

You have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter, but it is not a prescription.

Wonderful stuff!

...I thought it was the antihistamine; it's not. So I still go with Mucinex D. I know you can take Sudafed when pregnant, so I'd think it'd be safe for driving as well.

I like to alternate my medicines so the body doesn't get used to it....hate that!
Thank you all again!!
