Ok the other day my friends took me on a tour of the are - we were on our way to see if Ashley Judds Llamas were about and to visit I think they were wynona's Bison when we passed these two horse in a field. The stallion was MASSIVE - like at least 18hh! and soild whit! And he wasn't a lipzano(sp?) he was built like a mustang - you know wide body and STRONG and proud - just never have seen a Mustang this big in my life! (OH, you should rent the movie "man from snowy River" it is about and Aussie cowboy and a wild mustang and it is beautiful anf full of Horses! - AU is the only other continent with wild mustangs!)
Anyway, after we saw the bison we were driving back up and the two horse saw up and thinking - FOOD! They came near the fence until they realized they were wrong then we were not even there! - you know what I mean! So we start to go and We notice the chicken wire adnso we stopped and I went into the field and they both ignore me - like won't even look! The mare was as tall as me! SO I talk to them an djust ramble and pat her rump cause the wire is around the rear fetlock and I run my hand down her leg to lift - nothing! So I say C'mon girl, gimme your leg! and agin run my hand down - nothing - by this ppoint the Stallion is just looking at me and of course to the mare I don't exist! SO I just smacked the fetlock and said "UP, NOW!" and she oh so lazily lifts her leg about three inches, just enough for me to get the wire off - so I do and take it out of the field so neither of them step in it again. LOL, not even a whicker from her! I didn't expect one from the Stallion but she knew what I'd done for her! Oh you can imagine it - and your right they probably were in that field to breed - it was just the two of them and theystayed pretty close the whole time - I was glad the Stallion let me in - you know how they get! So that is my story - my friend spent all day tellling me I saved a horses life! I would'nt go that far, but if that wire had stayed on til they came by at the end of the day she could have been seriously hurt! So I help a horse and go too stand close to the biggest stallion I have ever seen in my life - and all white to boot! :)
