He granted her a full-fledged smile, simpy because it was good to hear that she understood that no matter what he did or how hard he tried, he'd never ever be able to reveal all of what he felt for her. The warmth of her hand 'gainst his was sort of comforting, just that bit of touch instantly relaxed him... Yup, Erica definetly had magic power when it came to Owen... Definetly. Owen's thumb ran small circles on the inside of her palm, all were counter-clockwise and as gentle as feather's caress, minus the tickly aspect. Owen swallowed thickly, before letting his eyes drift towards Erica's profile as he spoke, "I don't know about Emma... You did the right thing. She honestly deserves stuff like that 150% of the time. She's not a bad person... Well, she is -- but only to me." Owen's eyes flitted 'way from her face and stared out at the barn, taking in it's sturdy appearance. With a sigh, Owen rubbed his free hand 'cross his brow before speaking again, "She has her reasons, I suppose... Emma just can't grant anyone forgiveness, it's her weakeness... Just like horses are mine." Owen chuckled at his last sentence, and flashed Erica a bit of a smirk. He'd never like that horse, and it would probably never like him... As far as Owen was concerned, that horse was out to get him. Just like all birds -- and Emma were.
