This is one of the best written items I have seen, to date on the web. It says all that I believe in, and have been arguing about since they took the moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance out of schools.

This is America. Try protesting the same thing in another country, especially that your country's symbols offend you. You might be singing soprano that night, if you are male. You might be living in a dark room with bread and water for the rest of your life. You definately will be singing without two hands or legs after they show YOU how much respect you should have for your country's symbols.

It is because you ARE in America that you can get away with this bunch of vile horse...um, patooey!

A handful (and I mean handful) of so-called American's are offended. Well, if it offends them, they can either turn thier heads, not participate, or simply go to a country where they do not have to face it anymore. I have no sympathy or respect for any of them. They have stomped on the true meaning of freedom, and taken the entire vocabulary meaning of the word completely out of context.

I had my flag up LONG BEFORE September 11. I have loved my country since I was old enough to know that I lived here. It was instilled in my life, and in my heart. I was taught that all religions were to be respected, for no one religion was wrong or right. They mostly all believe in God.

I say the citizens challenge all the new "rights" laws that have been so violently disgraced, and take back what this country was first founded upon. If a parent doesn't like their child saying the pledge of allegiance, moment of silence, or playing the National Anthem (which, btw is just that..a moment of silence. You can think BASEBALL if you want to. No one makes you pray out loud), they have the right to private or home schooling. They better make sure that the history books are sensored too, for God and Country are written all over every one of them. Maybe they should have a private book burning on top of their protesting.

This article struck home for me, because I am the one that has believed in all this country stood for. No, I don't always believe in the politics, like the politicians, or understand how the government works, but I do know one thing..I love this country, it is the BEST country in the entire world, and I am very proud to say that I am an AMERICAN.

Kelly
