Bravo to Ron! I couldn't agree more with this post. Can someone tell me why people like Eminem are protected by the first amendment but we must fear censure and litigation if we are utter the word GOD in public? Something is seriously wrong, here.

I'm tired of the people who seem to forget we are, "One Nation, under God, indivisible". And lucky for them that the second part of this phrase of the Pledge reads, "and liberty and justice for all". This latter part explicates why people do stupid things like ban signs of Patriotism or better yet, write an apology letter to a clear enemy on behalf of Guiliani (I have yet to recover from that yet).

Moreover, if I was in another country, I would expect to see symbols of that country's culture, religion and governing bodies. If visitors are uncomfortable, then perhaps they should return to a land where they are more comfortable. I'm assuming if people are coming here to avail themselves of our freedom and resources, they're not going to start complaining about our flag and its colors. To quote a phrase about American from Vietnam: "Love it or leave it."

My attitude has become this: if you don't like our country and the principles it was founded on, here's a one-way ticket to Kabul. Sorry, I'm sick and tired of people taking the freedoms we are blessed with for granted. If they lived in a country where you could get shot for speaking your mind, or better yet, where they were so hungry and emaciated that they didn't have the energy to complain, I wonder how they would feel about Old Glory.
