Hi Kelly-

Thank you for another great post. Clearly, the actions of these few do not represent Islam or any religion or deity in general. This is religion as an excuse, and there is nothing holy about this war. These people beat their women and keep their children starving in the streets, yet purport to love God. Anyone can see the glaring inconsistencies in that.

I too would hate for people to conflate the Muslim religion with the acts of September 11 and the ensuing use of Anthrax, threats, hate, and the like.

I hope that people will refrain from making ASSumptions (love that, btw!) because no matter how you slice it, this is just an inexplicable, horrible thing that we'll never comprehend or be able to shake.

The internment camps (as you have aptly pointed out) and the Holocaust remain important lessons about the deleterious effects of religious hatred. I hope that we will retain those lessons in a time when it is easy to just be blindly angry at everyone we think represents the offending parties.
