You're right, robyn, about your observations and getting confused. Some things are really hard to be understood. They appear contradictory to the notion that God is love. Evil does not come from God because He is the source of good. Among natural evils are wars, calamities, earthquakes, famine, etc. They are a result of our fallen world, we're still awaiting to be fully redeemed when Christ returns. The other side of the issue is man's freedom. Lahat kontrolado ni Lord, isa lang ang hindi nya kinontrol -- yung "will" ng tao. When man wills to disobey God, it removes protection of God and so we experience evil and bad things.
