Newburgh Ill Luminated 2019

Gave it a couple of days to settle before making any kind of comment to be fair. It's the same. Been there done that won't do it again.

Credit goes to those who tried. I guess we owe them that much. Tried to throw a slip cover over an old couch. Too bad they didn't Febreze it first because it still stunk of old beer, booze and foul language. It still stunk of Newburgh the way it was, the way it is.

You know what? Nice weather, great views, doesn't make up for the empty lots where homes and business used to be. Missing and boarded windows, broken streets made it more like a celebration of rot and a reminder of failure. Who celebrates that kind of thing? Newburgh. The banners should have read "Newburgh. 50 Years of Failure".

Well now that that's over I guess we can all get back to the business as usual, voting for the same ole same ole, folks hangin in the hoods, bored kids out of school for the summer looking for something to do, somebody to stab, somebody to loot, some property to tag. Same ole same ole.

But the weather was nice.
