"African American Parade"? WHAT?

First of all, Sadie Tallie? Lived in Newburgh since 1956? I lived in Newburgh since 1957 and NEVER heard of her. So MHN can trash the popularity claim.

Second of all, Newburgh doesn't need a hyphenated parade for ANY part of the population. THAT'S a HUGE part of Newburgh's sickness: segregation. Face the fact: nobody comes to Newbubrgh to be part of the progress, the wealth, the "quality of life", prime real estate. They come because it's the easiest place to live on the dole, to be violent, evil, disgusting, lazy.

But to purposely SEGREGATE one part of the population from another and call it a "celebration"? Yeah, that's Newburgh for you. Not one sliver of a properly functioning brain cell in the entire population (except maybe for the rats, the little furry ones that can be seen any night roaming the streets where beautiful homes and houses used to be but are now packed with the stench of rot).

This isn't a "celebration of diversity". What this is is a reminder that "they" are not "you" and never will be.

Final thought: Look at the "contributions" the so-called "African-American" population has given to Newburgh over the years. You can start with the busloads of them that came from Clinton NC to dive into the welfare pot.

Ain't nuthin' changed. And those who object to the facts being said are the ones most guilty.

So "parade" THAT!
